Driving conversions on new product launch with bold, reactive content
Bondi Boost is a haircare brand offering a wide range of research-backed haircare solutions and products – from essentials to styling tools and accessories, proudly locally made in Australia. Working with Creative Converters, their digital marketing agency, they grew their TikTok presence over time and built a community on the platform through a consistent content strategy. With the growing focus of e-commerce on TikTok, they wanted to leverage shopping-inclined audiences on the platform and take their TikTok strategy to the next level by driving more product sales through video content.
For a start, Bondi Boost ran a Spark Ads campaign to capture potential customers who browsing content on TikTok. As a cross between organic content and advertising, Spark Ads appear native on the ‘For You’ page. This introduces minimal disruption to the users’ browsing experience, making Spark Ads a more effective solution for user engagement. Advertisers like Bondi Boost can easily leverage existing popular video content on their page, as well as user-created organic content to maximise their reach. By setting up their campaign with the Conversion Objective, the campaign targets users who are more likely to complete conversion events on their website such as ‘Add to Cart’ and ‘Complete Payment’.
In addition, Creative Converters also launched a Video Shopping Ads (Catalog) campaign, leveraging Bondi Boost’s catalogue of products on their website. The campaign is optimised for Product Sales, targeting users who have completed product purchases historically. After adding their products to a catalog on their TikTok Business Center account, Creative Converters was able to quickly generate videos featuring Bondi Boost’s products, which will show up in a Catalog Carousel on the video ad. Each product can be set up with their respective product page using Dynamic Destination, generating the best results with a seamless user experience.
The campaigns’ performance exceeded expectactions, recording more than 7 times Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) as well as a remarkable 486% uplift in ROAS from a previous period. Over the past year since Jan 2023, Creative Converter’s TikTok strategy for Bondi Boost as generated 15 to 20x more revenue than in December 2022. Their videos used in this campaign also gained signification traction with over 25.1M video views, boosting Bondi Boost’s brand awareness signification and setting them up for success in future retargeting campaigns.
