Who should take the TikTok Media Buying certification exam?

The exam is geared towards marketers familiar with TikTok for Business who have experience running campaigns using TikTok Ads Manager. We recommend candidates have at least one or more years of experience working at an agency and performing the media buying function on TikTok, or have equivalent experience through formal or informal training.


What topics will the exam cover?

The exam tests media practitioners' skill in topics such as TikTok advertising platform and products, creative basics, data connections, and end-to-end campaign management from setup to optimization to measurement.


Registered candidates will gain access to resources to help them prepare for the exam, including a study guide and a practice test.


Currently, the exam is available in English, and more languages will be offered in the near future.


How do media buyers become TikTok Certified?

The exam is conducted in a fully proctored testing environment (either in person at a testing center or online). Candidates who pass the exam will receive an official TikTok Media Buying Certification that is valid for 2 years along with verifiable accreditation.
