The Objective

AFTERSHOCK PC was established in Singapore in 2012 and has continued to deliver creative and curated PC builds at great prices. This homegrown company has since evolved into the go-to hardware store for many local gamers and tech enthusiasts within the community.


Having already established a strong digital presence across different e-commerce channels, AFTERSHOCK PC wanted to take its engagement with the growing community of PC enthusiasts to the next level. This included cultivating more interactive and insightful touchpoints as well as stronger channels for all users to collectively share their passions and ask questions about their devices.


This prompted them to jump onboard TikTok and bring highly inclusive touchpoints to life for the platform's audiences. Through videos centered on direct interactions with users, they not only left both old and new customers wanting more but also created opportunities for them to connect with the AFTERSHOCK PC team members and start conversations.


The Solution

Welcoming users to explore the world of custom-built PCs with entertaining and interactive content

AFTERSHOCK PC kickstarted their journey on TikTok with an array of content, from comedic skits featuring their own team members to informative videos fronted by competitive gamers, craftsmen, and IT professionals.


This urged TikTok users, PC enthusiasts, and newbies alike, to step outside of their own 'For You' page and into AFTERSHOCK PC's channel to check out their other videos. Many of these same users then quickly became loyal followers, with the company's educational content getting them up to speed on everything they needed to know about the world of computers, in addition to how they could get their hands on a curated design by AFTERSHOCK PC that would best suit their needs.



AFTERSHOCK PC also saw great opportunities to connect and engage with shoppers via TikTok Shop. Livestreams soon became a staple in their content, creating a space for their team members to interact directly with customers, adding that much-needed human touch to these online experiences, whilst fuelling discussions about their products amongst netizens who continued to regularly tune in.



To keep their livestreams fresh, especially during the Mega Sales Season, AFTERSHOCK PC continues to experiment with different activities, from building a PC from scratch to launching new products on livestream, and announcing exciting promotions and giveaways for viewers to take part in.


The Result

Garnering unprecedented engagement and building connections with the local community

Since joining TikTok, AFTERSHOCK PC has generated over 212K followers and 3.7M likes on its videos. Beyond driving greater awareness about its products and engaging new customers, the company has also seen tremendous results in its Mega Sales Campaign.


During the 11.11 sale in 2022, AFTERSHOCK PC's day-long livestream managed to drive over 400,000 impressions and 22,000 views. A month later, its 12.12 sale also saw similar results, with views increasing by 92%, in addition to a 62% rise in product impressions.



AFTERSHOCK PC intends to continue leveraging its success on TikTok to change the way users view the PC purchasing experience. The company has ambitious plans to bring a wide variety of PC components to its TikTok livestream store beyond just PCs, where it believes there is much more room for growth.
