Relative to other platforms, ads on TikTok are significantly more likely to be seen and processed: A global study found that 99% of the time, TikTok users are fixated on their screens while an ad is playing, compared to 76% of the time on other platforms.¹ Creative is the essence of all TikTok videos—but you don't need a big-budget production to stand out. It's easier than you think to create engaging, out-of-the-box TikTok videos using tools that are already available on the web.


Recently we teamed up with Canva, a badged TikTok Marketing Partner, to create a three-part video series showing advertisers how to utilize existing TikTok templates on Canva, explore best practices for creating TikTok ads, and hear from a TikTok expert as they analyze best-performing designs. Each episode also features a show-and-tell session with a designer to demonstrate how advertisers can recreate visuals quickly and easily on Canva.


Episode 1: Brand awareness ads on TikTok

In the first Canva Live episode, Cherie Kim, Creative Partner Manager at TikTok, and Jordi White, Motion Designer at Canva, break down some creative best practices for building brand awareness through TikTok ads. Viewers are also given exclusive access to the Canva templates used during the session.
