KFC Mexico set out to accelerate app-driven sales growth and increase YoY revenue through a performance-focused digital strategy. After seeing strong results from TikTok in prior initiatives, the brand integrated the platform into its broader Performance Plan, aiming to convert engagement into measurable business results.


The goal was to boost in-app product sales via Home Delivery while reaching audiences that matched KFC’s irreverent tone and playful personality. Recognizing that TikTok’s audience perfectly aligned with its brand voice, KFC focused on leveraging the platform to strengthen brand affinity, generate qualified traffic, and drive incremental revenue through conversion-optimized campaigns.



The Solution

Turning Engagement into Action

The campaign was designed to meet users that spend time on the platform, and turn engagement into app transactions. KFC and its agency team developed a strategy rooted in humor and cultural relevance, using cat-themed creative concepts, FOOH (Fake Out-of-Home) videos, and interactive ad formats to stand out on the For You Page.


By combining In-Feed Ads, Spark Ads, and Interactive Add-Ons, the brand delivered fun, irreverent content that felt organic to the platform while driving clear performance metrics. Each format played a specific role within the conversion funnel, from awareness to action, ensuring visibility, engagement, and measurable ROI.


Targeting was optimized through interest-based and behavioral segmentation, reaching users who engaged with food, humor, and delivery-related content. The campaign also leveraged TikTok’s performance tools to retarget high-intent audiences, ensuring an efficient conversion path for both new and returning users.


This always-on strategy ran between May and December 2024, continuously optimizing creative and budget allocations based on real-time insights. The focus was clear: to turn TikTok entertainment into business outcomes by boosting sales and transactions through the KFC Mexico app.
