The Objective

Justin Baer, founder of Collars & Co innovated the average dress shirt into a stretchy, comfortable polo shirt with a dressy collared top. One night, Justin posted a TikTok video of his new and improved collared shirt and it became an overnight success. He watched his TikTok video views skyrocket to 50k overnight and started receiving an influx of sales right away. With this newly engaged audience, he decided to advertise on TikTok’s auction platform with the goal of growing a strong TikTok following and increasing Collars & Co's daily sales.


The Solution

Collars & Co ran a conversion campaign and tested Lookalike and Retargeting audiences. They used Interest & Behavioral targeting to find users in their niche. They also worked with Shopify (a TikTok Global Commerce Partner) to implement a Shopify Pixel to gain more data insights. The Shopify Pixel was easy to set up and allowed Collars & Co to track add-to-cart sessions, page events and conversions. Their approach for creatives was to showcase products in Clothing Style “Hack” videos and iterate fun TikTok trends that aligned with their brand. Justin shot and edited videos himself through TikTok, making his creatives more organic and native to the platform.



The Results

In one month, Collars & Co was able to increase their daily sales and brand discoverability, growing their TikTok following to more than 29,000 followers! In the future, Justin plans to explore working with creators and testing different kinds of content to see which one's convert best. Their next step is to continue growing their customer base and TikTok community!
