The objective

Promoting better health with bigger product sales


Healthcare & pharmaceutical company Betterbrand created their supplements to make people’s lives better with science-backed health products that actually work. After establishing their organic presence on TikTok in 2022, Betterbrand posted 10 videos a day and accumulated 400k followers. They were ready to bring their life-changing products to even more people though, so they added a paid TikTok Shop strategy.


The solution

For their creative strategy, Betterbrand took an edutainment approach, offering health hacks and lifestyle tips alongside product info, eye-catching videos, and soothing narration. Given their robust organic presence, Betterbrand chose Spark Ads, a native format that lets you use organic content as paid content, to help maintain a consistent voice and curate a community of interested viewers.


The results

TikTok Shop speeds the pace of product sales


The health of Betterbrand’s business is incredible thanks to TikTok Shop. For example, in one quarter, they achieved a GMV of $1M, with 80%+ driven by ads. TikTok Shop Ads, including GMV Max and Product Shopping Ads, has become their best performing channel - with TikTok Shop Ads even driving 10% of Amazon sales.


With GMV Max, Betterbrand enjoyed a very profitable return, all while investing less time into ads management. Additionally, they diversified their product sales to be more distributed across all products, not just their best sellers. Over the course of the campaign, they sold out of inventory multiple times and expanded their reach beyond the smoking community and to younger audiences.


As a result of their campaign, Betterbrand was able to significantly grow their Shop and overall sales. Their strategic use of TikTok Shop Ads, including GMV Max and Product Shopping Ads, allowed them to reach a wider audience and drive consistent sales growth.
