Helping raise awareness around Extra’s summer BBQ range amongst a whole new audience in Norway.

Extra is one of Norway’s best-loved discount supermarkets. As summer approached, they wanted to strengthen Extra's brand association with BBQ products, so came to TikTok for an engaging campaign to kick-start the grill season and promote their range.
In order to kick off the campaign with a bang, Extra commissioned two TopViews. One of our most impactful platforms, TopView ad placements are 100% sound-on and occupy the full screen of all regional users upon launching the app. This ensured high instant reach and increased the awareness in the beginning and middle of the campaign.
In-Feed was used to continue building cost efficient frequency over a three-week period. Using a combination of engaging and low-fi/behind-the-scenes creatives that were humorous and entertaining, Extra achieved both an outstanding brand lift and astonishing video metrics across the country.
The Extra summer BBQ campaign exceeded benchmarks across Norway, and surpassed all video metrics for the country. Ad recall was 2X the EU benchmark, proving the effectiveness of TikTok-first content in its ability to remain memorable. What’s more, In-Feed video completion was up 7X compared to the EU benchmark, and overall brand association came in at 4X the EU benchmark.
