Launching Europe’s newest streaming service SkyShowtime with an engaging campaign built for maximum awareness in Spain.
SkyShowtime is the newest streaming service in Europe, offering the best of Hollywood and local entertainment all in one place. SkyShowtime's core strategic objective is to drive subscriptions to its streaming service, and for this campaign, their goal was to promote Yellowstone – the all-time favorite original drama series from Academy Award nominee Taylor Sheridan, in Spain.
To generate buzz and maximize audience awareness, SkyShowtime decided to bundle premium formats such as TikTok Pulse, TopView, and SuperLike 2.0 with auction In-Feed ads. TikTok Pulse Lineup enabled SkyShowtime to place their ads adjacent to the top 4% of trending content within entertainment-oriented categories, staying top of mind with TopView and extending the momentum through an auction-based reach campaign. With the support of Foap, one of TikTok's certified creative partners in the TikTok Creative Exchange (TTCX) program, SkyShowtime successfully promoted TikTok-first creatives that matched emerging trends on the platform, resulting in some seriously impressive results for their ads.
To ensure they received real, usable insights from their ads, SkyShowtime chose to run a Brand Lift Study alongside their campaign. When you run a TikTok Brand Lift Study, we create two randomised groups from a portion of your campaign's target audience: an Exposed Group that sees your promoted content and a Control Group that does not. We then use a combination of polling and statistical techniques to measure the difference in key performance indicators – like awareness and ad recall – between the two groups, which can be attributed to your advertising.
The campaign achieved absolute lifts across all metrics in the Brand Lift Study for the first time: Ad Recall (+5.4%), Familiarity (+3.5%), and Intent (+2.4%). The creatives delivered outstanding view through rates, with the highest Average Watch Time per Video View, along with 2- and 6-second Video View Rates (75% and 28%, respectively), nearly doubling the industry benchmark in Spain, as well as surpassing the average results of other SkyShowtime's creatives more than x2 times.
