A Good Ass Day is a women-founded business rooted in a passion for positivity and hair care products that make you look and feel your best. The brand saw an opportunity to elevate its business goals with TikTok Shop when it joined shortly after the platform's US debut in September 2023. With a strong existing organic presence, they leaned into their loyal fan base and continued to grow while launching their new travel-size OG dry shampoo.


The solution

Driving awareness and sales for their new travel-size OG dry shampoo while maintaining the success of their full-size product


Focusing on existing products and their affiliate strategy, A Good Ass Day partnered with TikTok to strategize campaigns that would both promote and drive sales of their new travel-size dry shampoo while maintaining the success of their full-size OG dry shampoo.


To test the performance of this new strategy, A Good Ass Day created three campaigns: one leveraging the newer ad solution, GMV Max, and two using the existing ad formats, Video Shopping Ads (VSA) and Product Shopping Ads (PSA).

  • For the existing best-seller: A GMV Max campaign was created, pulling from nearly 100 affiliate and organic videos. With the automation model used by GMV Max, targeting, placement, and creative strategy were simplified, maximizing campaign efficiency.

  • For the new product: VSA and PSA campaigns were designed with Female, 18+ targeting, utilizing new creative assets specifically developed for the launch.





The results

Boosting conversions at a low CPA


Launching these campaigns and leveraging their affiliate network exceeded the brand's expectations. By targeting their existing audience and reaching new ones, the campaigns delivered outstanding results. Across PSA and VSA, the brand achieved an average ROAS of 20x and a CPA of $1.50.


Most notably, their GMV Max campaign generated a 32.6 ROI, resulting in a cost of just $0.81 per order. Following the success of the campaign and the launch of their new product, A Good Ass Day hired additional staff in October 2024, grew their follower base, and sold out of their products!
