The Objective

Leika Skincare, an innovative Indonesian skincare brand, offers a diverse range of products designed to help users achieve their best skin. As the brand seeks to expand its presence and connect with new audiences on TikTok, they needed a strategy to amplify its reach and engagement. By fostering meaningful interactions on TikTok, Leika Skincare aimed to bring their vision of perfect skin and connect with a wider audience.


The Solution

To optimise traffic to their livestream on TikTok, Leika Skincare leveraged LIVE GMV Max, an automated Shop Ads campaign that allows advertisers to gain full control over ad placements during LIVE campaigns. By optimising paid and organic placements towards their target return on investment (ROI), LIVE GMV Max delivers strategic ad positioning for maximum visibility on the ‘For You’ feed and LIVE feed. Advertisers can benefit from its unique ad delivery as it only scales ad spending when the target ROI can be met. After entering the livestream, users can easily browse Leika Skincare’s products and make a purchase on ShopTokopedia without leaving the app.


Besides LIVE GMV Max, Leika Skincare also launched a Product GMV Max campaign to further boost their overall TikTok Shop GMV. By utilising all available creative assets, Product GMV Max optimises organic and paid ad delivery to drive incremental GMV across the ‘For You’ feed, search results, and ‘Shop’ tab. This approach combines video and product card formats, enabling seamless engagement across shoppable placements. 


To further amplify their results and ensure that budget utilisation is maximised at their target ROI, Leika Skincare leveraged the Maximum Delivery bid strategy on both campaigns. Combining Maximum Delivery with the unique ROI-focused delivery of GMV Max allows Leika Skincare to make the most of their campaign budget, allowing the system to drive more results consistently.


The Result

As one of the first brands to adopt GMV Max with Maximum Delivery for their ShopTokopedia ad campaigns, Leika Skincare achieved impressive results, tracking a 23.5% uplift in GMV and a 12% incremental ROI from September 25 to October 10, compared to a previous campaign without using Maximum Delivery. Notably, they also attained a 96.7% budget utilisation rate, showcasing their efficient use of resources without compromising ROI – a remarkable feat given that many brands experience ROI reduction when budgets are increased. By strategically leveraging the solutions, Leika Skincare was able to broaden their campaign reach while achieving stable and consistent ROI.
