Leveraging TikTok shop and GMV Max to drive rapid business growth
Theo, one of the cofounders of BioRevive, entered the e-commerce space by first exploring Amazon wholesale and Shopify, with aspirations of building his own brand.
Around the same time, he was on the lookout for a quality testosterone booster, as he and his partner were planning to start a family.
During his research, Theo came across tongkat ali - a herbal remedy used in Southeast Asian medicine, known for its potential to boost male fertility.
Inspired, he started selling locally, by going door to door and relying entirely on word of mouth. Within days, sales were bringing in over £200 a day, proving his suspected high demand for the supplement.
Then, Theo discovered TikTok Shop, which was a gamechanger for the business, with the product immediately taking off after being listed. At that point, Theo brought in a strong partner with expertise in both e-commerce and TikTok to scale the brand, working with TikTok's advertising products to gain momentum.
Today, @bioreviveofficial has 22.6K engaged followers on TikTok, where Theo regularly posts native content that informs the audience about BioRevive products. After a year of using TikTok Shop, this campaign focused on raising conversions.
To optimise the campaign for higher conversions, BioRevive leveraged TikTok's GMV Max on all their shop products, an automation tool which optimises ROI on TikTok campaigns, making campaign management more efficient.
For this campaign, BioRevive used one campaign across all products for 14 days, then after this period trialed split stock and single product campaigns, in this campaign they saw that single product campaigns brought stronger results.
The team created their content for the campaign in-house, focusing on informing their audience about Biorevive products. While they didn’t work with an external agency on the campaign, Theo’s cofounder is also the founder of Tikmarketing, allowing them to leverage agency knowledge in the campaign.
After just one week, the team at BioRevive noticed a significant surge in video views, the first sign that the campaign was making a big impact. The campaign proved to be a big success, increasing conversions and improving ROI through their TikTok Shop.
The results spoke for themselves:
• GMV: 107% growth since GMV MAX was switched on.
• Orders: 140% growth since GMV MAX was activated.
• Page Views: 96.94% increase since GMV MAX went live.
