Expanded Data Sharing (formerly Enhanced Data Postback) automatically collects landing page and visitor interaction information such as page content, button clicks, and website performance. This helps improve ad delivery and campaign measurement while streamlining your Pixel setup.
If you installed the TikTok Pixel and enabled Expanded Data Sharing, the following information will be collected:
Web contents
Structured microdata from supported formats like JSON-LD/Schema.org and OpenGraph.
Descriptive page metadata (e.g., page titles, product information, key parameters such as value and currency).
Page performance data (e.g., load times, responsiveness).
Product details (e.g. price, value, currency, url, name, description)
Key website variables (e.g., window.dataLayer, window.utag)
Website builder or partner platform detection (e.g., platforms used to build, enable commerce services, etc.).
Visitor actions
Button click text and elements (e.g, button name, descriptive text, and attributes).
General clicks on button-like elements (e.g. product cards, form elements)
Scroll activity and on-page engagement (e.g., depth, direction, duration, speed, visible time, and page leave events).
Media element visibility (e.g. image/video url, description). No image/video content or user interactions with the media are collected.
If you would like to opt out of sharing this additional data with TikTok, you can do so by toggling Expanded Data Sharing off in your Events Manager settings. You can opt back in at any time.
We recommend using TikTok For Business Tools, such as Pixel Helper, to view the data being sent to TikTok and ensure it aligns with data-sharing policies and does not include data that may be deemed sensitive. For more information about data collection policies, refer to TikTok Business Product Data Terms and TikTok Privacy Policy.
