How to set up automatic payment

Last updated: June 2025

With automatic payment, TikTok will automatically bill your ad delivery charges to your account when you reach your account's billing threshold or bill date, which ever comes first.

Before you begin

  • To use automatic payment, you must have a valid payment method. Without a valid payment method, your ad delivery may be interrupted.

  • If your ad account is owned by a Business Center, you can only add a payment method for automatic payment in Business Center.

  • When you add a payment method, it will automatically go through verification to ensure the card is valid. TikTok will deduct at least $10, or the equivalent in local currency, from your card and refund this charge within 15 days.

Note: You can't use a prepaid card for automatic payment.

How to set up automatic payment

For customers with a dedicated TikTok representative, you may discuss selecting the automatic payment option with your representative.

For self-serve customers, you can choose automatic payment as your billing option when you create your TikTok Ads Manager account. If you did not choose automatic payment during account creation, you can select it in your account settings with the following steps:

  1. Log into TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. Hover over the Tools tab at the top.

  3. Find Settings and click Finance.

  4. From the Payment page, click My billing option to check your selected billing option or select a different one.

Note: This option may not be available for all advertisers.
