Reach & Frequency (R&F) is a campaign buying type on TikTok Ads Manager that lets you control the audiences you reach, and the number of times they are exposed to your ad messaging before delivery. You can gain even greater control of your ads with Top Feed, a feed type exclusive to Reach & Frequency.
Top Feed is a Feed Type option for Reach & Frequency campaigns that lets you control when your ad appears in someone's TikTok feed. When you enable Top Feed, your ad will occupy the first in-feed ad slot that appears on someone's TikTok feed when they open the app.
Top Feed is a great way to generate mass awareness. This Feed Type places ads in a premium position to help grab your audience's attention.

Currently, Top Feed is only available for Reach & Frequency campaigns.
TopView shows as the first overall video the user sees when they open the app. This is bought separately outside of Reach & Frequency and can be purchased directly through TikTok sales representatives or through TikTok Ads Manager in 2024.
Create a new campaign in TikTok Ads Manager.
Select Reach & Frequency as the Buying Type.
Under the Contextual Targeting drop-down menu, select Top Feed.
Save your changes, then confirm that the Feed Type is set to Top Feed.
Note: Feed Type cannot be edited after the inventory has been reserved and delivered.
