About Automatic Balance Allocation in TikTok Business Center

Última atualização: February 2025

Automatic Balance Allocation is a feature that allows campaign costs of ad accounts owned by your Business Center to be automatically deducted directly from a shared Business Center balance. Instead of increasing or decreasing ad account balances manually, Automatic Balance Allocation allows your ad accounts to automatically draw balance from their attached Business Center.

Before getting started

  • This feature only applies to ad accounts using Monthly Invoicing as the billing option.

  • Once a Business Center is upgraded to Automatic Balance Allocation, you cannot switch back to Manual Balance Allocation.

  • Currently, ad credits can not be auto-allocated. You can manually allocate ad credits by adding balance using the Payment Management page. Learn more about the Payment Management page.

  • Only Finance Manager and Admin roles can edit the monthly budget of each account. If finance roles are not applicable in your Business Center account, then only Business Center Admins can edit the monthly budget of each ad account. If you're not a Finance Manager, please contact the admin of your Business Center to be granted this role.

  • Only auction ad accounts owned by a Business Center can be used with Automatic Balance Allocation.

  • If an ad account has vouchers or cash and the Business Center has enabled Automatic Balance Allocation, the system will deduct the balance of cash and voucher in the ad account for ad costs first. After the balance of cash and voucher runs out, the system will automatically allocate the balance from Business Center through Automatic Balance Allocation.

How it works

Business Center balance transfer and consumption

When Automatic Balance Allocation is enabled, the Business Center's balance will be used and deducted from for each of its ad accounts' campaign spend, instead of the individual ad account balance. Each ad account's available balance automatically transfers to the Business Center balance, leaving a $0 credit balance in the ad account. The Business Center balance includes credit line, cash, and vouchers. When the Business Center balance reaches zero, campaign spending will be paused and ads will stop delivering until you add to the Business Center balance.

Ad account balance and budget

Prior to enabling Automatic Balance Allocation, each ad account's spending has a cap based on both available balance and budget that was set. If an ad account reaches your monthly, daily, or custom budget cap, and you would like it to keep running, you would need to increase your budget. You can adjust your budget cap up to 10 times per day. Enabling Automatic Balance Allocation causes the following to occur for each ad account:

  • Ad account available balance automatically transfers to the Business Center balance, leaving a $0 balance in the ad account.

  • The ad account budget is unchanged if it was previously set as a quantity less than unlimited.

  • If the ad account's budget was not previously set, or was set to unlimited, its new budget is set to the ad account's available balance just prior to enabling Automatic Balance Allocation.

    • For example, if the ad account balance was $100 and it had an unset or unlimited budget, enabling Automatic Balance Allocation would set a new budget of $100, and its $100 balance would be transferred to the Business Center balance. This feature is called Budget Sync and helps reduce unintentional account spend that was previously limited through the ad account balance but now consumes from the Business Center balance.

Interaction with campaign budget settings

If you set a campaign budget at the campaign level, the system will incorporate the campaign budget as well. If campaign spending reaches the campaign budget, the campaign will pause, regardless of the Automatic Balance Allocation settings and the Business Center balance. If Automatic Balance Allocation is enabled, the Business Center balance must be greater than zero otherwise the campaign will pause, regardless of your campaign budget setting.
