    About Billing Sharing in Business Center

    Introduction

    Billing Sharing aims to enable clients to manage the payment & billing and take the liability in Business Center for ad accounts their Business Center does not own. It can increase flexibility and facilitates partner collaboration for both agencies and advertisers.

    Note: New Billing Sharing requests are no longer possible in the US, EU, and Israel. If affected, please talk to your TikTok representative for other solutions.


    Features and Benefits

    If you are an agency

    You need to manage payment & billing for linked ad accounts that are owned by -advertisers.

    User scenario 1

    Your clients (advertisers) have Business Center, and all ad accounts are owned by the advertiser but linked by your Business Center. As your client trusts you very well, they ask you to help manage payment& billing. Then you can ask your clients to share billing with you.

    User scenario 2

    Your clients (advertiser) have no Business Center, but they created ad accounts through Ads Manager directly, and your Business Center links these ad accounts. As your client wants you to help manage payment& billing, then you can ask your clients to share billing with you.


    How to set Billing Sharing in Business Center

    Before you start

    • Permission & Roles: Only when a user has Business Center Finance Manager and Admin can accept or remove the Billing Sharing request.

    • Account type: Only available for auction ad accounts, reservation ad accounts are not available in the current stage.

    • Currency: the ad accounts' currency should be consistent with the Business Center currency when using billing sharing.


    Agency Side

    Step 1. Log into Agency Business Center, go to Finance and click Add Account.

    Step 2. Enter the ad account ID the advertiser wants to share. Choose the suitable permission and turn on Payment Management permission.

    Step 3. Click Request.

    Client Side

    Step 4. Receive request in Email or Notification Center and Click Accept request

    • Note:

      • If the advertiser has Business Center: Business Center Admin will receive the request in email.

      • If the advertiser doesn’t have Business Center: Ad account Admin will receive the request in Email and TikTok Ads Manager Notification Center.

    Step 5. Set up payment permission, choose the payment manager(Business Center) for the specific account

    • Note: The left balance in the account will be directly transferred back to the client's Business Center after the payment management switch.


    After the client accepts the requests and set up the payment permission, Agency can see the shared accounts in their Payment section. They can directly manage the payment & billing for these ad accounts which they requested for, including adding or decreasing balance, managing billing group, and invoices.

    How to remove the Billing Sharing

    To give up payment access to an ad account:

    1. Go to Payment in Business Center.

    2. Select the ad account requested by this Business Center.

    3. Click Stop payment permission.
