With the TikTok channel setup you will have 1) easy TikTok For Business and Ad accounts set-up, 2) developer-mode pixel installed in one click, 3) automatic catalog sync, which powers access to Collection Ads and Dynamic Showcase Ads, as well as the newest organic e-commerce features like Shopping and Product Links.
You don't need an organic TikTok account to run ads like Collection Ads. However, to access Shopping and use Product Links or boost posts through Promote, you will need an account with organic presence.
Even if you do not currently run ads, the Pixel will begin to collect data which will allow you to then retarget and reach TikTok users who are interested in your products. Also, only channel users will have pre-general release access to some of our upcoming visibility tools.
Yes, you can set up and manage conversion campaigns directly from TikTok on BigCommerce.

Please access your account on TikTok Ads Manager after adding and setting up TikTok on your BigCommerce store to access all available ad formats. Specifically for Dynamic Showcase Ads, please allow up to 48-72 hours from initial setup to gain access to this ad feature.
Your campaigns using the TikTok pixel created through the TikTok channel will remain active, but the pixel will stop sending back any data to Ads Manager.

If you already advertise on TikTok with an ad account managed by an agency, you may follow these steps:
Create an ad hoc Business Center (ensure this is regular and not agency), or connect to an existing regular, self-serve Business Center if you have one, and an Ad Account during the Plugin set-up
On TikTok For Business, give your agency user access to the aforementioned regular Business Center (this will be as a Member only, Partner access is currently unavailable via regular Business Center)
Also give your agency user access to your Ad Account and Catalog (after relevant Business Info is entered and approved)
Request access to their agency's Ad Account via the Business Center (this will not give the Agency access to the pixel or catalog associated with the plugin integration)

To launch TikTok Shopping you need only 1 product, but we recommend a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 2000 products.
Users can view the product details within the TikTok app. However, the user will be directed to your BigCommerce store website to make the purchase & complete the transaction
There are two ways: when the user clicks on the ‘Product Link’ in your video and lands on the product detail page or when the user visits your TikTok profile. The 'Product Link' will only be visible to users in the US, while your video will be visible globally.
Yes. We are able to support multi-variant items that might have multiple sizes or colors. For example, you may have a sweatshirt that comes in red or blue and is available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL.
No. The program is organic and does not require Sellers to be actively investing in ads. It is recommended to create organic videos to build your organic following, as this will allow for better engagement through TikTok Shopping.
Yes. You can track organic purchases from TikTok with the Pixel installed and via the Store Manager backend, both at an aggregate and product level.
For the time being, when you connect a Creator account to activate TikTok Shopping, it will automatically be upgraded to a Business account, with many Branding features to optimize a seller presence on TikTok.
