About the Shopify In-App Checkout experience for TikTok

Last updated: August 2024

Note: This feature is currently in beta and not available to all advertisers.

With Shopify In-App Checkout, you can integrate the world’s highest-converting, customizable, one-click checkout experience within TikTok's in-app browser. The feature allows you to present Shopify's checkout experience to TikTok shoppers and capture conversions during shopper discovery. TikTok and Shopify do not charge any additional transaction fees to use this feature.

Shoppers can use pre-stored payment and shipping info with preferred methods like Shop Pay and PayPal to check out in a faster, more frictionless experience.

Checkout experience

  • All of the configurations on your store checkout will be inherited in the In-App Checkout experience

  • TikTok will optimize the ads experience based on TikTok user preferences. While the user experience takes place in the TikTok app, the transaction occurs on your e-Commerce domain. Note: The TikTok experience might be different for different countries/regions to comply with local user privacy laws.

Supported payment methods

  • In-App Checkout uses the same payment providers as configured in your online store. For shoppers, In-App Checkout currently supports the following payment methods (if configured in your store settings): credit cards and debit cards, Apple Pay, Shop Pay, and PayPal.
