Campaign Set-up

  • Ensure the LIVE GMV Max campaign spans a minimum of three days. It does not need to run continuously, although sales periods of more than 3 hours generally see faster single-session GMV growth and higher GMV expansion.

  • Set a reasonable ROI target based on historical LIVE performance. When you create your campaign, we'll recommend ROI and budget settings to optimize traffic to help drive the most product sales for your LIVE event.

  • Follow the system recommendation or set a budget two to three times higher than your historical LIVE ads. Your budget won't be fully used unless the campaign can approximately meet your target ROI.   • If spending is slower than anticipated one day after the start of your campaign, consider decreasing your ROI target in your campaign settings.

  • If spending is faster than anticipated one day after the start of your campaign, consider increasing your campaign budget or your ROI target in your campaign settings. Note: Fast spending usually means your campaign is performing well and according to expectations.

  • Choose a TikTok Profile that has strong LIVE GMV. A profile that has approximately $1000 gross revenue in the last 7 days is considered strong.

LIVE set-up

  • Maintain livestream timing and duration consistency across campaign days.

  • LIVE sessions of 3 hours or more generally see faster single-session GMV growth and higher GMV expansion. Also, we recommend you livestream for more than 8 hours a day for a more significant increase in single-session GMV.

  • Use LIVE screens and share key information to connect with the audience, such as brand recognition, real background, and addressing user concerns.


Best practices for video-to-LIVE

  • Clear call-to action, shorter videos, and highlight LIVE promotions and hero products are ways to improve video quality for a probable increase in click-through rate.

  • Select up to 10 Preferred videos that are most relevant to the livestream that you want to prioritize delivery. Update your selection for each livestream to ensure most relevance.
