Automotive ads
Automotive Ads use your catalog, along with signals such as new automotive website event parameters, to deliver a dynamic experience to users based on their observed preferences.
You'll need to set up signals and your catalog first.

Log in to TikTok Ads Manager, and select Create ad.
Choose Lead generation for your advertising objective, then turn on the toggle for Automotive ads.
Add additional settings for your campaign, such as special ad categories, campaign budget optimization, or campaign budget. Note: If credit is required for your automotive promotions, choose Credit in the special ad categories section.
Click Continue to edit your ad group settings.
Set your ad group name.
Choose your catalog. Note: The inventory locations in your catalog will determine which country you can target. For example, if your inventory is all based in Canada, you will only be able to target Canada.
Choose your pixel and optimization event.
Choose your targeting. Note: The targeting options available for special ad categories may be limited.
Set your budget.
Choose your optimization type and attribution settings.
Click Next to edit your ad settings.
Name your ad.
If using Spark Ads, authorize your video. Note: Spark Ads can only promote Video at this time and does not have access to Catalog Carousel. For Carousel, please use a custom identity.
If you're not using Spark Ads, choose a custom identity.

Choose your products through the following methods: Specific Products, All Products, or Product Sets.
If you choose Specific Products, you may select up to 20 products per creative for both video and Carousel formats and drag to rank them in manual order. Note: Dynamic ranking is recommended for best performance.
16. (For video format) Add your video creative, caption, and CTA.
17. (For video format) Create your Inventory Card template. Video Promotion will require an Inventory Card that takes users to the inventory page. You must finish this step before launching Video Ads. Once a card has been created, you can access it again for future ads. Inventory Card images must be 4:3 ratio (800x600 preferred). Note: You can choose which product fields are displayed on the Inventory Card.
18. (For Carousel format) Carousel will automatically pull in images from your catalog's image_link field. You can choose which product info you want displayed to users. Typically, around 4 total slides are displayed to the user before the end card.
19. (For Carousel format) Add your End Card, music, and caption.
The end card is displayed at the end of your carousel and should drive users to your Inventory Catalog Page.
The resolution should be 1200 x 628px, 640 x 640px, or 720 x 1080px.
20. Choose the destination where you want to direct people. You have the option to use your website URL or your Vehicle Inventory Page. Tip: We recommend using the URL and enabling the option to automatically add URL parameters.
21. Select Submit to complete campaign creation.
