Last updated: May 2024

This article provides answers to frequently asked questions on account suspension warning notifications that you may receive when you violate advertising policies.

What is an account suspension warning?

An account suspension warning is a notification that you receive when you violate an advertising policy, which can then lead to a declined account health status. In the warning notification, you will find links to campaigns in your TikTok Ads Manager that have violations.

The primary purpose of the account suspension warning is to provide you with educational information and an opportunity to take appropriate action to prevent your account from being suspended.

Please keep in mind:

  • There are certain advertising policies that may trigger immediate account suspensions without prior warning.

  • It is possible to receive multiple warnings in a single day to alert you of repeated violations.

  • Your TikTok Ads Manager may include deleted ad groups.

Why did my account receive a warning?

Your account received a warning due to a decline in its health status, indicating violations of our advertising policies. Continued violations may lead to the suspension of your account.

What should I do after receiving a warning to avoid account suspension?

  • Review your violations. Take the time to carefully review the violations listed in your TikTok Ads Manager Campaign page. This will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the specific policy violations that have been identified. Familiarize yourself with our advertising policies to understand where the violations occurred.

  • Appeal if necessary. If you believe that any of the ad groups listed in the warning notification were identified in error, you have the option to work with your TikTok Sales Representative or submit an appeal on your own. Refer to FAQs for Account Suspensions to access the appropriate appeal process. Be sure to provide any relevant information or evidence to support your case.
