CBO does not support campaign copy-to-new, nor all other objectives in TikTok Ads Manager.
However, for an individual ad group in a CBO campaign, you can copy it to an existing campaign.
CBO does not support directly copying an existing group to a new campaign.
CBO’s learning phase is defined at the campaign level instead of the ad group level. A newly-launched CBO campaign should expect stable campaign performance after 50 campaign results for Installs and 20 for deeper funnel objectives.
As such, advertisers should also wait for another 50/20 conversions after each campaign adjustment.
When running CBO, we suggest evaluating the following metrics at the campaign level:
Campaign budget consumption rate
Campaign DoD CPA change
Note: Please refer to metrics at the campaign level, not the ad group level
Both phenomenons are expected. Just keep in mind- the goal of CBO is to optimize your campaign performance and spend your campaign budget more smartly, instead of optimizing for every individual ad group.
It is normal to see most of the campaign spending coming from 1 or 2 ad groups out of all- this is because our delivery system is auto allocating more budget to the ones which are predicted to perform better with more budget.
In this sense, make sure to evaluate the performance at campaign level instead of ad group level.
We typically do not suggest running a manual Split Test because you may receive less accurate testing results due to competing campaigns. If you choose to do so, consider the following tips:
Ensure all settings from both campaigns are identical (e.g. Campaign budget must be same). One should apply CBO and the other should not.
Start both campaigns at the same time, and run for at least 7 days without any modification to either campaign or ad group.
Be aware of ad review statuses and act quickly if either are rejected.
