How to create video templates

The Video Template tool allows you to make compelling ad videos with only a few assets in TikTok Ads Manager by selecting a template and uploading your photos, text, and logos.


How to access the Video Template tool

You can access the Video Template tool in the Creative Library or during ad creation in TikTok Ads Manager.

From the Creative Library:

  1. Log in to TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. Click the Tools tab.

  3. Click Creative Library.

  4. Select the Video Tab.

  5. Click Create.


During ad creation:

  1. Log in to TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. Click the Campaign tab.

  3. Click Create.

  4. Choose your campaign settings.

  5. From the Ad tab, click Single Video.

  6. Click Create.


To create video templates:

  1. Choose a video template from Recommended, Ecommerce, Gaming, or Trending.

  2. Preview the template by clicking on the play button.

  3. Click on a video on the template to start creating your video.

  4. Customize each frame of the video and insert your images, logo and/or texts by clicking Upload from Computer or Upload from Assets.

  5. Select a music track from the list.

  6. Rename your video file.

  7. Click Confirm.

Note: Vertical templates are only available for TikTok placements, while horizontal templates are available for all placements.
