Billing information
Taxes may be applicable to your purchase of TikTok Ads depending on the market or region of your "billing address", unless otherwise agreed.
TikTok is registered for VAT in Egypt as a non-resident supplier of services. As such, TikTok is required to collect and remit Value Added Tax ("VAT") on the supply of Ads in Egypt.
If you are VAT registered in Egypt, you should provide your Tax Registration Number ("TRN") and Unique Identification Number ("UIN") to TikTok. If the TRN and UIN are valid according to the ETA ("Egyptian Tax Authority") API, no VAT will be charged to your Ad Services purchase invoice and you shall be solely responsible for self-accounting, reporting and remitting the applicable VAT on your purchase under Reverse Charge Mechanism. If you do not provide a valid TRN and UIN combination to TikTok, 14% VAT will be added to your Ad Services purchase invoice.
The UIN is a 39-character, mixed-format identifier that is uniquely linked to your TRN. To obtain your UIN, please contact your tax advisor or the ETA for more information.
If you purchase ads through your TikTok Account Manager, you can reach out to your account manager to provide or update your TRN, UIN, business name, billing address, email address and phone number.
If you purchase ads through your TikTok Ads Manager account, you can access your Account settings to add or update your TRN, UIN, business name, billing address, email address and phone number.
TikTok performs periodic validation checks of your TRN and UIN to ensure that the TRN and UIN combination remains valid. Invalid TRN and UIN will be removed immediately and VAT will be applied on all future invoices.
Note: TikTok is unable to advise you on tax matters. Please contact your tax advisor or your local tax authorities for any tax questions that you may have in relation to your Ad purchase.
