List of campaign statuses and definitions in TikTok Ads Manager

Last updated: February 2025

When you create a campaign, TikTok reviews your campaign and your account to ensure it follows advertising policies. Certain conditions can affect your campaign status or trigger a new review.

On your campaign list, each campaign will display a status as well as additional information about why your campaign is in that particular state. Below, you will find a full list of possible statuses and explanations:

  • Active: The campaign is running as expected. No specific action is required.

  • Pending: Your campaign is under review. It is not delivering. There is no specific action required at this time.

    • Account under review: Your ad account is currently under review.

  • Paused: Your campaign is not delivering. You can unpause your paused campaign from your campaign list.

  • Deleted: Your campaign can't run because it has been deleted. Campaign deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

  • Not delivering: Your campaign is no longer running due to budget or violation of TikTok's advertising policies. Action is required to run your campaign.

Note: The status of a campaign is only impacted by issues at the ad account or campaign level. If your campaign has enough budget, but an ad group within it runs out of funds (and has no other problems), that ad group will stop running ads. In this case, the campaign status will still show as Active. To understand why an ad group isn't running ads, you should check its ad group status. Most likely, the status will be Not delivering, and the explanation status will be Out of budget.
