About Autofill on TikTok

Last updated: July 2024

The Autofill feature streamlines the process from when users submit their contact information on any Instant Form or web page opened within TikTok’s in-app browser. Autofill automatically fills:

  • First Name, Last Name

  • Email

  • Phone Number

  • Post/Zip Code

  • Province/State

  • City

  • Country

  • Street Address, Unit/Apartment/Suite

Autofill also allows users to save credit card information to their device when filling out payment forms on third-party web sites. The following information is stored on users' devices and used for Autofill purposes:

  • Credit card number

  • Credit card expiration date

  • Credit card logo, e.g., the MasterCard logo

  • Credit card type, e.g., MasterCard

The following information is never stored:

  • Billing address

  • Credit card security code (CVV)

Currently, Autofill can be used for third-party web pages and Instant Forms and is available in all monetized markets.

Features

The first time a TikTok user fills out a third-party form with their contact information on any web page in TikTok’s in-app browser, they will receive a prompt asking them if they would like to save their information for next time. TikTok will only save a user’s information for Autofill if the user chooses to do so.

If a user chooses to save their information, they will receive a prompt asking them if they would like to Autofill with their saved information the next time they fill out a form on any web page in TikTok’s in-app browser.
