Pangle
This article addresses common FAQs you might have on Pangle Media Transparency reports.
Note: If you want to prevent your ads from appearing on unwanted media placements, refer to Block List on Pangle's inventory filtering solutions.
FAQs are grouped into the following topics
Pangle partners with OEM such as Oppo, Vivo & Xiaomi. These high-quality OEM traffic are not listed on Google Play or Apple Store and hence they do not have a URL. If you want to prevent your ads from appearing on these media placements, you can use the Pangle block list to filter out these publishers with their corresponding Bundle IDs, which can be found on media transparency reports.
This could happen because of the following three reasons.
Pangle provides advertisers with web traffic from global publishers in addition to app traffic. Hence, the URLs for web traffic sources will not be found on Google Play or Apple Store.
Some publishers are unlisted on Google Play or Apple Store but are whitelisted for ad delivery as they are high-quality publishers. Thus, their URLs cannot be found on Google Play or Apple Store.
Some apps were previously launched on Google Play and App Store but have been unlisted for various reasons. Please be rest assured that Pangle monitors the change in the listing status of publishers closely and will NOT deliver any ads to these media partners once they become unlisted. However, you may still see some of the URLs cannot be visited on Google Play and App Store.
Let's say you run a campaign from January 1st to January 5th and media placement A was unlisted from Google Play on January 3rd. If your ads are delivered on media placement A on January 1st and/or January 2nd, the impression data and URL of media placement A will still be shown on the delivery report.
Due to contractual restrictions, Pangle is unable to disclose the names of some publishers that Pangle works with and their impression data. The delivery report is provided as a reference and is not exhaustive.
There is a lag of 1~2 day before the report is available for download as there may be a delay in finalizing the impression count.
The transparency reports are only available from January 1st, 2023 onwards.
