About TikTok post-roll placement

TikTok's post-roll placement is where an ad will be displayed at the end of a video longer than 60 seconds. The appearance of the ad will be signaled by a countdown in the last 5 seconds of an organic video.


Supported features, objectives, and bidding methods

Post-roll ads are supported by TikTok's first-party brand safety solutions including Inventory Filter, Category Exclusion, as well as third-party brand safety measurement. For example, Category Exclusion can be used if you want to prevent ad delivery alongside Youth Content. Please reach out to your TikTok representative for exact details on availability.


Supported objectives:

  • Reach and focused view objectives for all regions where reach and focused view objectives are available


Supported bidding methods:

  • CPM (cost per thousand impressions)

  • CPV (cost per 6-second / 15-second focused view)

Note: The post-roll video placement is automatically included when you select TikTok's For You Feed as your ad placement and cannot be excluded from ad placements through TikTok Ads Manager.
