How to create an Offline Activity audience

You can use an Offline Activity audience to target offline customers.

Before you begin

Before you create an Offline Activity audience:

  • You must create an Offline Event in the Events Manager. Learn more about Events Manager.

  • You need a minimum audience size of 1,000 to target Custom Audiences in an ad group.

Offline Events refer to:

  • In-store offline events: Recorded primarily in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.

  • Other offline events: Recorded outside of websites, apps, or in-store.


How to create an Offline Activity audience

To create an Offline Activity audience:

  1. Go to the Tools.

  2. Click Audience Manager.

  3. Click on Create Audience.

  4. Choose Custom Audience.

  5. Select Offline Activity.

  6. Under Include, select the type of event (action) and lookback window (7, 14, 20, 60, 90, 180 days).

  7. Select Offline event as source.

  8. Click the Add more rules icon.

  9. Choose Broaden Audience to create an audience with one event type OR another event type, or Narrow Audience to create an audience with one event type AND another event type.

  10. Click Exclude People and enter the event type and time period if you want to exclude certain users from being added to your list. Skip this step if you want to include everyone.

  11. Turn on/off Auto-Refresh. The default status of the auto-refresh toggle is turned on for custom audiences. Learn more about custom audience auto-refresh.

  12. Name your audience.

  13. Click Confirm to create the audience.
