How to request access to ad accounts in Business Center

Last updated: November 2025

To manage an ad account on behalf of someone, or to work on an ad account owned by another business, you can request access to the ad account. When approved, you can grant others access to that ad account from your Business Center.

Before you begin

You must be a Business Center admin to request access to ad accounts in your Business Center.

Note: You can't request access to a disapproved ad account.

How to request access to ad accounts in the Business Center

  1. Log in to your TikTok Business Center account.

  2. In the left-side menu, click Accounts.

  3. Under All accounts, go to Advertiser accounts.

  4. Click Add advertiser account.

  5. Click Request Access, then click Next.

    • Or if you don't have existing ad accounts in the Business Center, just click Request Access.

  6. Enter the ad account ID.

  7. Set any of the following access permissions to request from the ad account:

    • Admin: Manage ad account finances, settings, and permissions. Create and edit ad campaigns and view performance data.

    • Operator: Manage finances for ad accounts, create and edit ad campaigns, and view performance data.

    • Analyst: View ads and performance data.

    • If you are an agency and you select Admin or Operator permission, you need to confirm whether you are the primary media agency for the ad account by selecting Yes or No.

      • Note: If you selected Yes and your request is approved, you can click View in the Action column for the ad account to view the account details. A Media agency label will appear next to the ad account name, indicating that your agency is the primary media buying agency for this ad account.

  8. (Optional) Select the desired accounts and assets you'd like this ad account to access.

An email notification will be sent to the ad account owner asking for approval:

  1. If a Business Center creates the ad account, ask one of the ad account admins to accept the request in TikTok Ads Manager.

  2. If an individual user creates the ad account and does not belong to any Business Center, ask the ad account creator to accept the request in TikTok Ads Manager.

    • Note: To find the request, log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account, go to the Notifications page by clicking the Notifications icon on the top right, and check the Business Center tab.
