About Managing Lookalike Audiences

Lookalike audiences can help you reach audiences that share commonalities with your existing customers, and deliver your ads to audiences who are interested in your product.


Once you navigate to the Audience Page under Tools, you'll be able to manage or edit your Lookalike audiences:

  • Connect to ad groups: You can connect one available audience to multiple ad groups. Note: Multiple audiences cannot be added to multiple ad groups.

  • Auto-refresh: If your lookalike audience is applied to an active ad group, it will be auto-refreshed twice a week. Note: If your source audience is ever deleted, it will be unable to refresh and you'll need to recreate your lookalike audience.

  • Manual-refresh: You can manually refresh your lookalike audience as needed without impacting your audience size or delaying your auto-refresh schedule.

  • Sharing: You can share your audience with your own TikTok for Business account.

  • Delete: You remove the audience if it's no longer needed. You'll need to disconnect from the ad group before deleting it.

  • Disconnect with Ad Groups: If you'd like to remove a looklike audience that has already been connected to an adgroup, you can disconnect it at any time.

  • View Audience Details: You can view details about the audience name, ID, audience type, current connections to ad groups, and a history of changes to the audience.
