How to add existing TikTok accounts to an existing Business Center for account management

Centralizing all your TikTok accounts for account management simplifies management, providing a single dashboard for analytics, content, and team collaboration. This enhances efficiency and gives you a holistic view of your business presence on TikTok.


Note: Only Business Center Admins can add TikTok accounts to a Business Center for account management. If you are not the admin, coordinate with your Business Center admin to have the accounts added.


To add all your TikTok accounts to an existing Business Center for account management, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your TikTok Business Center account or you can click here to skip steps 1-5.

  2. Click Accounts in the left-hand menu.

  3. Click TikTok accounts.

  4. Click Add a TikTok account.

  5. Choose Link an existing TikTok account and Send a QR code. Then click Next.

  6. Select Manage account as the permission level. You can also configure the following permissions:

    • Publish and manage new videos:

      • Show through ads only: Videos get paid traffic (formerly "ads-only mode") and are hidden from organic traffic. Turn on this permission to prevent members from publishing posts that appear on the profile. Members assigned this permission won't be able to toggle off the "Show through ads only" setting in Ads Manager when creating Spark Ads by pushing content to this TikTok account from any linked ad account.

      • Show on TikTok profile and in ads: Videos get both paid and organic traffic. Turn on this permission to allow members to publish posts that appear on the profile. Members assigned this permission will be able to toggle the "Show through ads only" setting on or off in Ads Manager when creating Spark Ads by pushing content to this TikTok account from any linked ad account.

    • TikTok account sharing: Allow your TikTok account to be shared with other Business Centers you're partnered with.

      • Note: The TikTok account user must have the latest TikTok app version installed to grant this permission. Once the account user grants the permission, you'll be able to share the TikTok account with partners.

  7. Click Copy QR code to download and share the QR code with the TikTok account user.

  8. Ask a user logged into the TikTok account to scan the QR code in the TikTok app and grant the Business Center permissions to the account.

    • To access the QR Code Scanner via the Profile page in the mobile TikTok app:

      1. Go to the Profile page.

      2. Tap the three dashes on the top right corner of the screen.

      3. Tap Your QR code.

      4. Tap the Scan icon on the top right corner of the screen.

        • Note: If your TikTok account is a Personal Account, you will be prompted to switch to a Business Account.

    • When your request is approved, the TikTok account will appear in the TikTok accounts tab in the Business Center. The Permissions column will show Manage account, indicating that you can connect it to an ad account for campaign delivery and manage this account's organic presence through Business Center.

  9. To add additional TikTok accounts for account management, repeat the preceding steps.


How to add TikTok accounts to a new Business Center created from the Business Center website for account management

In some scenarios, such as a company managing diverse subsidiaries or a large business with separate divisions, creating a new Business Center is the ideal approach. This ensures that accounts, permissions, and billing remain neatly organized and distinct.


If you already have a Business Center and want to create a new Business Center to add all your TikTok accounts to that Business Center for account management, follow these steps:

  1. Create an additional Business Center:

    1. Go to the Business Center website and click Log in on the top right corner to log in to your TikTok for Business account.

    2. On the top right corner of the Select an account page, click Create new.

    3. Select the business type that best describes your business.

      • I am an advertiser

      • I am an agency

    4. Enter and select your country or region.

    5. Enter the name of your business.

    6. Confirm that your company name and Business Center name match.

    7. Confirm the time zone and currency are correct.

    8. Click Create.

      • (Optional) In the 2-step verification pop-up, click Turn on to enhance account security with 2-step verification.

      • Once you create an additional Business Center, you'll automatically become an Admin for that Business Center, allowing you to add TikTok accounts to it.

How to add TikTok accounts to a new Business Center created from your ad account for account management

If you already have an ad account but haven't yet created a Business Center, creating a Business Center from it is a seamless way to upgrade your management capabilities. This process automatically links your ad account, ensuring a smooth transition.


To create a new Business Center from an ad account and add all your TikTok accounts to that Business Center, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your TikTok Ads Manager account.

  2. Click the three dashes on the top left corner of the screen.

  3. Click Business Center.

  4. Set up a Business Center by following the guided instructions.

  5. Follow the steps in How to add existing TikTok accounts to an existing Business Center for account management to add Business Accounts to the new Business Center.


How to move TikTok accounts from one Business Center to another for account management

As your business evolves, you may need to restructure how your TikTok accounts are managed. Moving TikTok accounts from one Business Center to another is a straightforward process that allows you to realign your accounts with your current operational needs.

To move TikTok accounts from one Business Center to another, follow these steps:

  1. Unlink the TikTok accounts from the current Business Center. You have two options to unlink Business Accounts:

    1. From the Business Center:

      1. Log in to your TikTok Business Center account or you can click here to skip steps i-iii.

      2. Click Accounts in the left-hand menu.

      3. Click TikTok accounts.

      4. In the Action column for the TikTok account with "Manage ad" permission that you want to remove the Business Center's access from, click View.

      5. Locate the Unlink account button in the top right of the account details page and click it.

      6. You will be prompted to confirm your choice. Review the implications and click Confirm.

    2. From the TikTok app:

      1. Go to the Profile page.

      2. Tap the three dashes on the top right corner of the screen.

      3. Tap Settings and privacy.

      4. Tap Security and permissions.

      5. Tap Apps and services permissions.

      6. Tap TikTok Business Center.

      7. Tap the Business Center that the TikTok account is linked to and tap Remove Access.
