What does the TikTok channel enable?

With the TikTok channel setup, you will have:

  • Easy TikTok For Business and Ad account setup.

  • Developer-mode pixel installed in one click.

  • Automatic catalog sync, which powers access to Collection Ads and Dynamic Showcase Ads.

Do I need to have a TikTok account?

You don't need an organic TikTok account to run ads like Collection Ads. However, to boost posts through Promote, you will need an account with an organic presence

What Pixel events does PrestaShop support?

  • View Content: When a user lands on a product details page.

  • Add to Cart: When an item is added to the shopping cart.

  • Initiate Checkout: When a visitor is ready to make a purchase and is checking out.

  • Purchase: When a purchase is made or checkout flow is completed.

What is Advanced Matching?

Advanced Matching is an upgrade to the TikTok Pixel that allows you to send privacy-safe hashed customer information (email addresses and phone numbers) to increase the match rate between TikTok ad clicks (and at later date views) and conversions that happen on your website.

How do I start running paid advertising campaigns on TikTok Ads Manager?

Access your account on TikTok Ads Manager after adding and setting up TikTok on your PrestaShop store to access all available ad formats. Specifically for Dynamic Showcase Ads, please allow up to 48-72 hours from initial setup to gain access to this ad feature.

If I have a campaign running with the TikTok Pixel created via the TikTok channel, what will happen if I remove the channel?

Your campaigns using the TikTok pixel created through the TikTok channel will remain active, but the pixel will stop sending back any data to Ads Manager.

What if I already advertise on TikTok and my Ad account is managed by an Agency?

If you already advertise on TikTok with an ad account managed by an agency, you may follow these steps:

  1. ​Create an ad hoc Business Center (ensure this is regular and not agency), or connect to an existing regular, self-serve Business Center if you have one, and an Ad Account during the Plugin set-up.

  2. ​On TikTok For Business, give your agency user access to the aforementioned regular Business Center (this will be Member-only because Partner access is currently unavailable via the regular Business Center).

  3. ​Give your agency user access to your Ad Account and Catalog (after relevant Business Info is entered and approved).

  4. ​Request access to their agency's Ad Account via the Business Center (this will not give the Agency access to the pixel or catalog associated with the plugin integration).

Why am I getting an error when trying to access my Catalog on TikTok Ads Manager and run catalog-based ads (e.g. Collection Ads)?
