How to use auto-lead capture for Business Accounts

Note: This feature is in testing and only available in the following markets: Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.


Auto-lead capture allows Business Account users to automatically collect customer contact information from in-app direct message chats and generate leads directly into Leads Center. This helps save you time by automating the process of manually connecting leads and contact information.


Your leads will automatically create contact cards, which you can update or add notes to for easy management. Additionally, Business Account users can also manage prospective leads by using the Mark as Lead shortcut to label lead status and organize your leads.

Before you begin

To use auto-lead capture, you must have a registered Business Account. Learn more about how to register your Business Account.

How to use auto-lead capture

To enable auto-lead capture:

  1. Open the TikTok app.

  2. Click on Profile.

  3. Click on the menu "" icon.

  4. Click on Business suite.

  5. Click on Get leads to enter the Leads Center.

  6. Click on Start getting leads.

  7. Click on Direct messages to initiate the auto-lead capture application process.

  8. You will need to upload a privacy policy and then fill in your company's information.

  9. Click Submit to submit your privacy policy and application for review.

  10. Click Turn on to enable auto-lead capture.

The auto-lead capture toggle will be turned on and your company's privacy policy will undergo a review process. Note: The Privacy Policy review process will take 1-2 hours and you will receive an inbox notification once the review is completed.


Once your account is approved for auto-lead capture, contact information from your direct message chats, including phone numbers and emails, will be collected and generated into leads.

  • When the contact information is captured, click on See details to view the lead contact.

  • The lead information is created as a contact card in the Leads Center. Click on the contact card to view and edit the lead status and lead information.

How to use the Mark as lead label

Mark as lead is a labeling shortcut that allows you to label leads for better management.

  1. Click on Mark as lead at the bottom of your direct message page to label the contact as a potential lead prospect.

  2. Once you click on Mark as lead, the lead status will be updated to Raw.

  3. You can update the lead status directly within the direct message page by clicking on Update lead status.

  4. Once you update the lead status, the change will also be reflected and documented on your direct message page.

How to view leads info in Leads Center

  1. Sign into your Business Center account.

  2. Hover over the "" icon on upper left corner.

  3. Click on Leads Center.

  4. On the Lead Management page, you'll be able to see all your lead contacts from both organic and paid sources.

On the Lead Management page you can also:

  • Update the status of your leads.

  • Assign the lead to another person on your team so they can follow up with prospective clients.

    • Note that this person will need to be added as an authorized user in your Business Center account.
