About TikTok Shop Ad Credit Incentive Program

Note: The following article is currently only applicable for TikTok Shop accounts. During the testing phase, we'll invite selected TikTok Shops to join the program.


Summary of this ad credit incentive program

To be eligible for the ad credit (Ad Credit), you must successfully register for the program and then within the duration specified in the program, spend at least the amount required by the program, on Live Shopping Ads or Video Shopping Ads by selecting the Advertising Objective as Product Sales with TikTok Shop product source in the TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account and for the TikTok Shop account used for the successful program registration.


For ad accounts on Manual Payment method, the Ad Credit will be issued to the corresponding TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account upon confirmation of successful program registration. For ad accounts on Automatic Payment method, for successful program registrations, the Ad Credit will be issued to the corresponding TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account after the account's balance is paid. You can check for the Ad Credit expiry date in TikTok Ads Manager. The Ad Credit will be in your TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account currency. This Ad Credit can be used on Product Sales advertising objective with TikTok Shop product source. TikTok reserves the right to withhold or withdraw the Ad Credit for any reason, including if you do not comply with our policies and guidelines. Ad Credit is non-transferable and has no cash value.


Each TikTok Shop Code and/or each TikTok Ads Manager advertiser ID can only register for each program once.


Please ensure that the spending is incurred in the same TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account and for the same TikTok Shop account that you used for the successful program registration.


Who is eligible for this ad credit incentive program?

  1. Advertisers who register for the program and receive notification about successful registration are eligible. Each TikTok Shop Code and/or TikTok Ads Manager advertiser ID can only register for each program once. Registration is done via this link

  2. ​Advertisers spend at least the amount required by the program on Product Sales Advertising Objective with TikTok Shop product source in the TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account used for the successful program registration within the duration specified in the program.

  3. The advertising is for the TikTok Shop account used for the successful program registration.

  4. ​TikTok will have sole discretion to decide if advertisers meet the program criteria. TikTok's decision will be considered final.


What kind of ad credit is available?

Eligible advertisers will automatically redeem the ad credit within 48 hours of meeting the eligibility requirements. Ad Credit will be in your TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account currency. This ad credit can be used on Product Sales Advertising Objective with TikTok Shop product source in the future. You can check for the Ad Credit expiry date in TikTok Ads Manager


Note: The Ad Credit can only be used on the same TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account. You can track your ad credit spending status, in TikTok Ads Manager.


How can I use the ad credit?

How ad credit is used will depend on the payment method you use on your TikTok Ads Manager advertiser account: manual or automatic.


For accounts using the manual payment method, the ad credit will be used before the account balance is applied. For example, once you've redeemed your ad credit, we will bill any charges against your ad credit before using your account's balance.


For accounts using the automatic payment method, your ad credit will be used after paying your account's balance. This ad credit will then be used first before charging your account on your next campaign. For example, once you successfully spend the required amount in advertising and pay the bill (excluding any tax and other ad credit), then the ad credit will be used first before billing your account when you start to run the following ad campaign.


Why is my ad credit frozen?

If your account has been flagged for safety reasons due to irregularities on the account, your ad credit may get blocked from receiving the ad credit. Please file an appeal on our advertiser support system. You can submit a ticket here or go to your TikTok Ads Manager and click on the question mark in the top-right corner.


Terms and Conditions

These terms govern your eligibility for and use of the Incentive Program. Please read them carefully. The legal promoter offering the Ad Credit to you is: (a) if the Discounted Service (defined below) is within the TikTok Platform, the TikTok entity that provides you with the Discounted Service in accordance with the TikTok Terms of Service; or (b) if the Discounted Service is within the TikTok For Business Platform, the TikTok entity described in the General TikTok For Business Platform Terms (in either case, “us”, “we”, “our”).


To the maximum extent not prohibited by applicable law, we may, where reasonably necessary for a legitimate reason, amend or cancel any or all Incentive Program availability at any time in our sole discretion, and/or update, amend or replace these Incentive Program Terms.
